It's presumably common knowledge that nearly all hygiene products sold in grocery stores today contain chemicals that are hazardous to our health. Methylisothiazolinone is one of the most frequently used chemicals in our shampoo and soap products. It is also a biocide cousin to compounds used to make Agent Orange, and can cause severe neurological damage. Despite the slew of information available regarding these harmful chemicals, consumers continue to purchase products that slowly destroy their bodies and the environment. I assume this is because of brilliant marketing schemes and very cheap prices. So I propose an alternative to chemically harmful cleaning products as well as the heavily marketed  "green" alternatives that still fall short of promoting healthy cleaning methods.

I've got a great deal of home recipes for unclogging a drain, washing your hair, caring for burns, exfoliating your face, and whatever other beautification process we deem necessary in our lives. All contain organic ingredients, all incredibly cheap and easy to make, and all safe for you and your home.

The open source portion of these products is the way they're presented. With each container of whatever product they buy, there will be a complete ingredient list for that product so the consumer has the knowledge then to make it on their own if they choose. There could also be monthly workshops teaching the community how they can make their own, personalized, cleaning products.
